Want to try the most interesting and rewarding hobby? Why not try R/C airplane modeling? The sport of flying and building radio controlled model airplanes combines the pleasure and skill of craftwork with the discipline of flying. You can build and fly a miniature example of a real plane that operates on exactly the same principles as the full-size. R/C modelers require patience, discipline and dedication but are rewarded by a hobby that gives its members a great sense of achievement. This makes it a great hobby for youngsters allowing them to express their creative side as well as giving them an outdoor activity. It really is a great father and son/daughter activity.
There are many avenues that can be explored in the hobby such as sport flying, aerobatics, large-scale aerobatics, scale, gliding and helicopters. Whatever takes your fancy in the way of aircraft can be replicated in miniature and with the right planning and technical expertise, flown.
